As I understand it, the very center of successful directing and teaching is an ability to listen for an individual’s authentic voice. My strength as an artist is that deep listening, married with clear guidance toward the successful expression of that voice.

My work as an editor and copywriter uses that same muscle. I’m like a heat-seeking missile for the heart of a writer’s intention. Nothing excites me more than seeing that moment of recognition in someone’s eyes when I’ve found that gem.
